One-day route — loops, lighthouse, buses
Ulgi Lighthouse is free and always open. Address: 155 Deungdae-ro. Phone: +82-52-251-2125. The 1906 original tower is preserved as Lighthouse Cultural Heritage No. 9 / Registered Cultural Property No. 106; the candlestick-style new tower dates to 1987. Unofficial blogs sometimes list seasonal hours—those do not appear on the official page, so treat the lighthouse as always open. Overview: Ulgi Lighthouse page.
Four free loops: Coastal path (~40 min) toward Sildo, pebble beach, and lookouts; Legend Rock path (~30 min) past Tanggeon Rock, Yonggul cave, and Halmi Rock; Pine Forest path (~40 min) among about 15,000 pines; Four Seasons path (~15 min) along the central cherry avenue. Ulsan Tourism notes about 600 m of pine approach from the entrance toward the lighthouse. Trail pages start at the Coastal path.
| Trail | Time | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Coastal | ~40 min | Coast toward Sildo · pebbles · lookouts |
| Legend Rock | ~30 min | Tanggeon Rock · Yonggul · Halmi Rock |
| Pine Forest | ~40 min | ~15,000 pines |
| Four Seasons | ~15 min | Central cherry avenue |
Short on time? Walk the Four Seasons path only. With more time, link Coastal and Pine Forest toward Ulgi Lighthouse. Legend Rock has uneven granite—wear grippy shoes in wet weather.

FAQ terminus buses: 104, 124, village 32, and the city tour (via). From the entrance stop, walk about 15–20 minutes into the park. Address: 95 Deungdae-ro, Dong-gu, Ulsan (Ilsan-dong). Park phone: +82-52-209-3738. Most of the park is listed as usable 24 hours; Daewangam Rock and Daewang Bridge stay free-access but may close in typhoons or heavy rain.
The sea cable car (gondola) and any monorail are not available; no schedule. The gondola project never opened; after the city cancelled the agreement, a lawsuit has been reported. There is no operating monorail inside the park either. Ignore rumored fares, boarding times, or station maps. Stick to official notices and what you see on site.

Sample parking costs by stay length
A weekday stay of up to 2 hours is ₩0. About 2 hours 20 minutes on a weekday falls in the 2 h 30 m band at ₩500. A quick weekend drop-off can use the 20-minute free turnaround. A 40-minute weekend stay adds about ₩200 for the next 10-minute block. Large vehicles (over 2.5 t / 25 seats) double those amounts. If you qualify for a discount, match the FAQ or booth fee table before you pay.

Before you go — closed days and weather holds
Regular closure is the second Tuesday of each month (calendar second Tuesday). The FAQ still says “2nd-week Tuesday,” while a 21 March 2022 operations notice clarifies second Tuesday of the month (not “week 2”). VisitKorea lists Second Tuesday of each month. This guide follows the notice and VisitKorea wording. The bridge is also closed on Seollal and Chuseok day per that notice.
Before you go, check which date is the second Tuesday on that month’s calendar. “Second week” and “second Tuesday” can land on different days depending on how the month starts. Cross-check the on-site notice with the FAQ.
