Before you go to Damyang’s bamboo forest park, lock in three numbers. Individual admission is ₩3,000 for adults, ₩1,500 for middle/high-school students and soldiers (sergeant and below), and ₩1,000 for elementary students; groups of 20 or more pay ₩2,400 / ₩1,000 / ₩600. Hours are 09:00–19:00 in summer (Mar–Oct), last entry 18:00, and 09:00–18:00 in winter (Nov–Feb), last entry 17:30, and the park is open year-round. VisitKorea Juknokwon and K-Trip Tips (updated 2026-06-30) match on fees and hours; addresses and phones follow the official Juknokwon site footer. Call +82-61-380-2680 (footer also lists 2690).

How much is admission at Juknokwon?

Paid individual tickets are ₩3,000 (adult), ₩1,500 (youth/soldier), and ₩1,000 (elementary). Groups of 20+ drop to ₩2,400 / ₩1,000 / ₩600. VisitKorea’s English Fees block and K-Trip Tips (tourism DB linked to juknokwon.go.kr) list the same brackets. Free categories differ in how much each source spells out—this section follows the fuller K-Trip Tips list. Amounts are in Korean won; VisitKorea’s English page shows the same figures.

Category Individual Group (20+)
Adult ₩3,000 ₩2,400
Youth (middle/high) · soldier (sergeant & below) ₩1,500 ₩1,000
Elementary ₩1,000 ₩600

Who gets in free?

K-Trip Tips lists free entry for Damyang residents, visitors 65+, children under age 6 (만 6세 미만), national meritorious persons, and persons with disabilities grade 6 or below (grades 1–3 include one guardian), with ID required. VisitKorea’s English page only shortens this to preschoolers ages 6 and younger and seniors 65+. If you expect a discount, bring ID and confirm at the ticket desk—not only the abbreviated English line.

Why we don’t pin one free-child cutoff

VisitKorea says “ages 6 and younger”; K-Trip Tips says “under 만 6세.” Those wordings disagree on where exact age 6 lands. For kids near that edge, ask the ticket office or call +82-61-380-2680 on the day.

What are the opening hours and last entry?

Summer (Mar–Oct): 09:00–19:00, last entry 18:00. Winter (Nov–Feb): 09:00–18:00, last entry 17:30. VisitKorea Operating hours and K-Trip Tips use the same seasonal split. Holiday status is open all year round (VisitKorea Holiday N/A · K-Trip Tips 「연중무휴」). That means no fixed weekly closed day—not that weather or on-site closures never happen. If a typhoon or heavy snow is forecast, call before you drive.

K-Trip Tips also notes full bamboo-grove control after hours and exit guidance via the Ieina Art Center. Arrive after last entry and you won’t get a ticket; if you’re already inside, leave by closing time. The kctg interpreter-booking window (10:00–17:00) is not Juknokwon’s park schedule—don’t mix the two.

In practice, last entry is one hour earlier in summer and 30 minutes earlier in winter than closing. A 17:50 summer arrival may still find the booth open, but you won’t get a relaxed walk before 18:00. In winter, aim to be inside before 17:00. Even for a short photo stop, plan around last entry.

Front gate, rear gate, and parking

There are two entrances. Per the official footer, the front gate is 119 Juknokwon-ro, Damyang-eup, Damyang-gun, and the rear gate is 363 Jukhyangmunhwa-ro (Jeonnam–Gwangju integrated special city wording as printed). Phones: 061-380-2680, 2690 (hanok experience desk 010-7633-2690). VisitKorea Address/Inquiries point to the front side (+82-61-380-2680).

VisitKorea only states Parking: Available. The official menu has a parking page, but as of 2026-09-26 no fee or stall count was retrieved for this package—so we report availability only and leave price to the site board or staff. Save both gate addresses in your nav app; searching “Juknokwon” alone can drop you at different doors.

The front gate connects straight into the bamboo grove; the rear sits nearer the poetry village and hanok experience area. Secondary write-ups mention wheelchair rental at the rear ticket booth; primary claims for address, phone, and “parking available” stay with the official site and VisitKorea. Bus timetables shift by season—check a live app the day you go.

How are the walking trails laid out?

Juknokwon covers about 160,000㎡ and opened in May 2003 (VisitKorea Introduction · K-Trip Tips). Trails run about 2.2 km across eight themed paths (Juknokwon 8-gil)—including Unsudatong-gil, Jukmagou-gil, and Philosopher’s Path. Official menus use the same “8-gil” and trail-guide labels. Facilities such as Jukhyang experience village, hanok stays, and a poetry stele park appear on VisitKorea Facilities and K-Trip Tips.

One path’s timing vs the whole loop

Unsudatong-gil is often cited as 420 m · about 15 minutes—that figure is for that path alone. Don’t scale it to claim the full 2.2 km “takes an hour.” You don’t need every named path. Cut the walk to fit fitness, companions, and weather. Primary sources don’t claim the entire grounds are barrier-free. Food, smoking, and carry-in rules follow on-site / official visitor guidance.

Two adults + one elementary child cost ₩3,000+₩3,000+₩1,000 = ₩7,000 individually. One youth + one soldier = ₩3,000. The same adult bracket falls to ₩2,400 in a 20+ group—schools and clubs should confirm headcount and ticketing at the desk. Spring and autumn weekends get crowded for photos; arrive at least an hour before last entry.

The official visitor-info HTML was JS-rendered and hard to scrape for a fee table on 2026-09-26. Body numbers here are cross-checked against VisitKorea and K-Trip Tips (updated 2026-06-30). Before you go, recheck juknokwon.go.kr visitor info and +82-61-380-2680.
